Faith Formation & Religious Education Standing Committee
The Faith Formation and Religious Education Standing Committee is appointed by the Bishops Commission for Catholic Education. The Committee provides advice to National Catholic Education Commission on the national policy implications of developments in faith formation and religious education in Catholic schools.
OUR QUEST FOR HOPE - THE GIFT OF FAITH
This discussion, prepared by the NCEC Faith Formation and Religious Education Standing Committee, aims to support the shared journey of parents and schools in the faith formation of the children and young people. It is an invitation for school communities to consider how they come together to enhance the partnership between schools and families; as together with the parish they support children and young people in exploring their faith. It is a resource for the evaluation of current practice and the discovery of imaginative responses and new opportunities for school communities.
FRAMEWORK FOR STUDENT FAITH FORMATION IN CATHOLIC SCHOOLS.
This framework, prepared by the NCEC Faith Formation and Religious Education Standing Committee, reflects on the faith formation of students in Australian Catholic Schools and is intended to be considered alongside the Framing Paper for Religious Education in Catholic Schools (2018) and A Framework for Mission in Catholic Education (2017) which focuses on staff formation.
LEADING FORMATION FOR MISSION: A PRACTICAL GUIDE
Leading Formation for Mission: A Practical Guide (‘A Formator’s Guide’) is a resource for educational leaders with responsibility for formation for mission in Catholic education. It is a companion publication to A Framework for Formation for Mission in Catholic (2017). The resource aims to assist leaders in their consideration, development and evaluation of current practice and inform the strategic enhancement of formation for mission. This framework was prepared by the NCEC Faith Formation and Religious Education Standing Committee in partnership with writers from ACU’s La Salle Academy.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FRAMING PAPER
The Bishops Commission for Catholic Education has endorsed the Framing Paper: Religious Education in Australian Catholic Schools, prepared by the NCEC Faith Formation and Religious Education Standing Committee. Published in 2018, it is a resource for reflection on and evaluation of curriculum design and practice in the Religious Education learning area.
